Healthy Foods is recognizing December 1st as World aids day and recommending to keep fighting the disease. Over the past 10 years there have been tremendous medical advances toward HIV and AIDS.

Aids, which stand for acquired immune deficiency syndrome, is the final and most serious stage of the HIV disease, which causes severe damage to the immune system. Aids is the 5th leading cause of death among peole 25-44, and can be contracted from blood and or through sexual contact. The most amazing AIDs research has been recently herb’s located in the South American rain forest called Catuaba and Clava Huasca. The se are the first to be researched by scientists in AIDS/HIV treatment.

Catuaba is being researched in Japan showing remedies made from catuaba inhibit the ability od HIV to cause destruction of cells. The study also found that the herbal remedy actually protected people with full blown AIDS against the infection from opportunistic pathogens such as Escherichia coli – E. coli or Staphylococcus aureus – such an infection would be dangerous from the point of view of the patient with a crippled immune system as all AIDS patients invariably are.
